2010 Mini SSS - Super Summer Series

ITS ALL OVER!!! We have endured the summer heat, and the best team has prevailed!!

A BIG CHEER TO TEAM JJ DUBSHOP!!!!

I have put all the driver points and team points down for you to reflect on. Bear in mind that some of the non-regular points are a bit skewed, there were some stand-in drivers during the season.

Congratulations to the top three drivers
1st - Eathan
2nd - Ian
3rd - Andy

And a really good effort to everyone.

I will make a few personal commendations to Lance for most improved driver (even without his 'special' motor laughing

) and to Jon & Bong for consistancy throughout the event. Both managed to get in the points a few times, and were unlucky not to qualify for some of the finals but both of them contributed points that boosted their teams chances of competing. Unfortunatelyfor some teams, work intefered with participation, and Dan, Duane and most notably Jay were not able to attend, but when they were there, were in the running. Also, Eric would have been a thorn in our sides had he not been transferred to Thailand, but I am pretty sure he is getting his RC fix there....

Now what are we going to do each week????

Registration is open for the first week.....who is in? Remember! Each week will only have 12 registrations, so make sure you sign up early! Racing will commence around 6pm.

Regarding the SSS, it will start tomorrow, at about 17h30. We dont have a lot of light so we need to start sharp. I cannot make Friday's so the SSS will need to take part on Sat afternoons if you want it timed and set up by me.
Assuming that the days for RC are changed to a Friday, then I am afraid that I will not be able to join, and I wont be able to assist you running the events. I understand that majority rules, that is simple enough but until that decision is made, Saturday is still on for those who can make it.

Lastly, I know a lot of people invested in the Sport Tuned motor for the Al-Ain trips, so we will need to reach a consensus on whether they stay in or not. Ultimately, we all need to be in agreement.

Not quite sure if yesterdays race was the start of the mini series, but we were able to run two heats and one endurance race.
Not everyone were there but the mayhem was very happy

Dan,

A bit of a mixed bag really, we had three heats, but again the software presented a problem. The first heat only recorded the positions, but did not recognise the times....the second heat was flawless and recorded the way it should.....third heat, a bit of a non-event because it didnt want to change the transponder numbers from the previous heat...too much for the poor software to take.....and it shut down.

SO I dont think that first race will count, but it was fun none the less...and as Jay has mentioned, there was MAYHEM galore, I think we had 12 mini's on the track at once, and mayhem was the order of the day....

Additionally, we had Sport Tuned and SIlver can in the races and that is not going to be allowed, it is too unfair so we need to make a decision, between all of us, if we race ST or Silver can. Personally I think the silvercan is enough on that little track. When it comes to the Enduro, we can change it and maybe make a longer track...

Mini SSS will be attempted this week again, hopefully we can get the SW working properly.

If anyone wants their own transponder, let me know please, I will make a collective order.

Andy mark me down for one. I will be in attendance next Saturday, along with a massive hang over which will make things a little more interesting.

I vote for Silver can, they are plenty enough for a small track.

I think it's better we keep the Sport Tuned motor in the Minis..

It was more exciting when it was faster.

And I already have soldered the wires directly from the ESC.
'am just too lazy swapping motors every now and then.

silvercan for area2 and sport tuned for al ain, that's fine with me

I am also keen on the silvercan.

I have also soldered them on on, but it will take all of 5 mins to put it back. I know of 6 people that only have silvercan, the rest of us have the option. But I think silvercan is fine at Area 2....

can we all agree?? Lance? lol

I'll check the silver can that came with the S800 if it's ok.. Otherwise, I'll bring the sport tuned motor for some polishing.. (to make it look silver enough) laughing
