Have a look at the first post....

We already have a full agenda for Mini & GT - 10 entrants......

Jay, perhaps we need to send a 'blanket' mail to everyone and remind them to join this coming weekends event....

We may not have prizes......but lets hold the event......and ORGANISE it.

i will forward the 1st post to everyones email registered on the site and lets see if we get more racers to join.

i suggest we remove the drift event cause we have a regular drift competition done at area2. lets enjoy the track to the fullest during this times, we can do drift on any parking lots anywhere anytime clown

This is going to be a great raceday..

like jay said, 20 aed will not make any pocket problems..

but a full payment of 500 AED, i guess not everyone including me will put on that ammount since were not going to the track constantly twice a month, 2nd 500 is 500 aed.. i can save it up and buy a mini to join you guys.. very happy im keen on going to Al Ain and enjoyed every second of it. but to be honest this is a bit costly for me..

anyways me and the guys are planning something very cheap race prizes for the event.. but with the number of racers registered.. it will only be feasible for GT and Mini Mayhem.. we'll post them up once we get it finalized and maybe you guys will like it..

BTW.. how about the race details? very happy

I will set up a race agenda, and timing. I think we need to star at around 10am LATEST!! Which means we need to leave Dubai at 8am SHARP....

Drifting will be deleted accordingly for the reasons Jay has mentioned.

I am also going to delete the GT Outlaw event if we dont get any more entrants, and I think this would be a good move. I would like to keep it down to 3 events, with 10 people in each event. GT-Mayhem, Mini-Mayhem & Nitro Madness..... smile

Mister-e, if you are in touch with the Nitro guys, could you do a blanket email, or try to get names. If we get the names, I can create a class on the software and enter all the names and organise the event BEFORE going to the track, and I can post the heats up on the website in PDF, and we can email it.

Does anyone know if the owner of HC has managed to get that bridge built yet?? Alternatively, if you drift guys still have all that piping you used to make the drift track, maybe we could use that..??

Heres a Poster to add Excitement on the upcoming race day:

Al Ain 19 February 2010 - Page 3 Poster2bh

if we can get enough racers, we can have a very cheap prizes as follows:

1st place - Personalized Championship T-Shirt
2nd place - Personalized Cap
3rd place - Personalized Mug

We can also add certificates for the winners!

A shirt will only cost around 60 AED that will look like this:

What do you think Guys!

JRacing,

looks good, nice idea on the prizes!

"for the glory" - i like it!!!!

Andy,

is the ladder still to short if we had to lay it out straight/flat and rest on 2 paint cans (or similar) on either side to lift it off the track???

Paul, yep...we tried it on some tires...not long enough.

If the guys have still got that piping, we could join and strengthen it ...the decoders dont weigh much, it just needs to support itself...

Also, we are going to need a louder speaker than the one I have....anyone got anything we could use....like an outdoor speaker?

We have power in the drivers stand....

ahhh, okay....

i suppose worst come to worst we could use the bridge the way we do normal and just norrow at the track at a point.......not ideal but it would work....

I have received some news from Abu Dhabi participants concerning nitro (and of course electric).
At the moment, they are in the middle of rebuilding their off road track at the Ice Rink.
No way it can be finished in 1 weekend, so they can't make it the 19-th.

Once the track is ready, a beautifull off road track is there in the UAE as well

I think aed 20 is a fair price for using the track, and im not worried about winning prizes i just want to race!

I have a full P.A system, so i can bring along one of the tops as that shouldnt be too big. The full system will not be necessary. Just let me know what cables i need and ill sort it out.

Do i also need to get hold of my own transponder?

And keep up the good work ppl, it seems like there are some organised and motivated ppl here in the UAE.

tractor boy, if you own a transponder...bring it....also, PM me your ACTUAL name and details so I can enter it into the software. I dont think we need sound THAT hectic. ...I was thinking like a PC sound system that has a built in, powerred amp.....mine is just a silly supermarket special...

Ok, Mister-e, thanks for the update. I am going to exclude the Nitro from the race agenda....so we will most likely just do Mini & GT mayhem....

I dont know if we will be charged this weekend, but if not, if all the entrants WANT some shirts, cups etc, maybe AED20 each will cover a few 'exclusive' prizes...not sure....

trackday fee of 20aed starts this friday as confirmed by strawb.

jracing's idea seems good enough for me than raising money to cover expensive prizes. and were gonna lose some racers aswell since some guys on the list are auh off-roaders.

Cathurga, please don't exclude the nitro from agenda.
As I understand, at the moment 5 people are participating:
- Gaston
- Steve
- Fahad
- Manaa
- Mister-E

when you get a chance, PM me their surnames/family names so I know what to call them....the software has a place for nicknames too... smile

HI ALL,

PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT THE INITIAL POST!!

Let me know if there is anything different that needs changing....(and ya, I know there are some wrong names, I will correct them in time)

What I need to ensure is there are no frequency problems, missing persons, class changes etc etc...

Mister-e, please could you let the nitro guys have a look and it would help me if you could send me the guys surname/family names as well.

This sheet represents the race forme, we can do many rounds, and when e are sick of it, we can set up the finals.

Are we ready?? I am going to consider this a DRY RUN for the AUTOMODEX thindgy, so I ask for your consideration and lets see if we can make it go smoothly....

Thanks...
