Yokomo D Max

A new chassis design by Yokomo's Suzuki Hiroshi.
The center slipper clutch makes an individual balance of power given to the rear and front axle possible. Add the increased steering angle and you have a great chassis for counter steer drift style.
The use of saddle pack-batteries and the centered motor position give an even balance to the chassis for better control.
The clutch allows easy setup for different surfaces.

It has a similar layout to HPI's Pro-D but with adjustable dual clutch.

That one slick new kit! saddle pack layout is sweet...

The slow-mo section in video is really cool - also the camera man must have gotten really close in some parts of the video...

VERY similiar to the Pro-D.
Any estimates on the prices?
Yokomo seems to be the only manufacturer that knows what counter steering is I think.

@abdul, actually counter-steering mods are fairly easy to do (at least the modification on a belt driven car) most chassis are really designed for use in touring before RC drifting was introduced. Other manufacturers or tuners may already be developing chassis designs to satisfy serious RC drifters. And yes, Yokomo came out first.

price? i guess we'll have to wait till it comes out.. til then, i think we should start savin' some bucks for it.

True Lancelot, but you have to agree that there aren't a whole lot of options when you want to counter steer on a shaft driven chassis. If people car I could post an article I found, this japanese drifter managed to get BEAUTIFUL counter steer on his tt01, only because he got huge toe in the front. Anyway, let's not get this thread offroad.

Really anxious to see the price tag.
