need more counter steering, Discussinon !!

hi pals, i know its a general Q,

and if it was regardless of the chassis it will result into non needed replies,

for a starting mention, i own a TT-01 Chassis that is (D, and others)
how to gain more counter steering along with longer counter steering time ??

some said with one way front diff, i did, and it was VVV good in short cornering

but still , doesnt gain me much more counter steering time, some said attach more weight, some said give Negative front camper and caster, a little camper for the rear, it helped a little


for the remaining things to do, i guess, like in belt types, they change the pully ratio in front and rear, for the kit am using my guess is to differ the front and rear diffs so one accelerates more than the other, nut no parts available that gives such difference !! please advice

Type type : either Tamiya or HPI Type T (plastic) both works in simmeler pattern but tamiya's is 24mm
chassis : Tamiya TT-01 modded, extended hex in tyres, and an offset of 6 front, 9 rear
other ellectronics not required mentioning that because its simmiler in stock with a little difference

with regards to this matter lance can give you more details coz he own a counter steer mods kit.

but basically, for you to be able to maintain a longer counter-steering angle, you have to change the ratio between the front and rear differentials.. you have to make the rear rotate faster than the front..

i used to have this set up but didn't have time to practice and got fed up of spinning out so i put it back to it's original config..

my previous ratio was: front - 40/16, rear - 32/25
i had to do some modifications for the pulleys to fit..

btw, it's easier to modify belt-driven than shaft-driven ones..

maybe i'll put the overdrive mods back after i'm done with my new project..[

ahhh i need more counter steer in my TT-01 ,

if you are keen on keeping an overdrive kit, better get a belt driven one or get a yokomo mr4..

BD chassis are easier to OD because different sizes of pulleys are available but might need some modifications..

Yokomo MR4s have an active OD bevel gears that you can get separately referring to the link provided by J.Drift in the previous thread..

if you would opt for a BD chassis, i suggest you get a Tamiya TA-05..
overdrive pulley sets are available in the net..

i was going thru some above links on counter steer issues in groovy's web, and there are mods for T-01 where they changes the rear gear ratio a little

lemme google how to !!! check back soon
