The Chase April 19 :)

April 19th - RC Drift at The Chase!

This one should be good. We'll be sliding in one of the pit garages at the Dubai Autodrome which means a SMOOTH surface, NO sun and POWER OUTLETS for charging batteries!

I think it'll be from 3PM till late, so I hope dudes will stick around & have fun! To keep you guys awake I reckon we should do a DC...and plenty of freestyle...and I'm thinking it might be cool to do a Tandem Challenge as well (we can figure out how to the exact format of the Tandem Challenge later on).

From my end I'm prepping a new, longer track layout with cool new clipping points thanks to Jonathan, as well as a GoPro camera car (my little Unimog) to get some sweet footage. smile

Totally open to more ideas to up the YAY factor as well.

Sup guys. Update time!

Bad news first...there will be NO FREE PASSES. I've been in touch with the organizers via email. They haven't said 'no' but the problem is that time's getting a little late now and I haven't heard anything back from them at all so can't assume anything.

Sorry for the hassle, hope the AED 40 entry fee isn't going to be a deal breaker. blum3

Good news...

There will be 3 competitions:
1. Knockout style, one on one drift competition. Will be 3 judges and trophies for the winner.
2. Tandem battle. Again, 3judges and trophy for the best tandem.
3. Car show/best body, with trophy for the winner.

Rough event schedule:

5PM - Chase officially starts
- Free practice -
6:30PM - Car prep, track cleanup & competitor briefing
7PM - One on one drift competition
- Free practice -
9:30PM - Tandem Battles

Food, drinks, bathroom, track, power outlets will all be available at the event.

Bring: Yourself, your kit, batteries, chargers, tools, whatever else you need.

Last big event of the year so let's do it in style!

thanks for the wonderful group was there it was the first time for me to go drift with you guys
and it was really fun i wished i started this hobby long time ago and also i want to thank Albert ( extreme hobbies ) a lot of support and also Carlo the amazing drifter and Ryan and every one from the guys i met and did not say the name and i hop i will post some photos soon.

Hello guys, It was one amazing event, I thank those who showed up and participated, I really enjoyed it to the max, although I didn't touch my RC for 4 months now, but it was fun to get back to it after this long time and just enjoy being in the RC environment with so much enthusiasm from kind people.

I started the RC Drift 7 months ago and still learning. thumbs_up
