| Decided to get into some BIG racing.....well not really, but some fun on trackdays around the Autodrome.... Using THIS... I paid less for her than I did for my Trailfinder and my CR-01 combined..... I am afraid I am going to become a little scarce around here, need to use the weather to fix her up. I have already ordered some hop-ups..... Cambelt Cams Waterpump Thermostat Shocks Front Wishbones Track Rod ends When those are fitted, I will see how she runs, and then decide whether to make her a track car only, or to use her around town. The V6 rumble is AWESOME. Alfa's are a love/hate thing....I love them.... | |

| Bandit, will be aiming for something like that when she is done. Need to find someone who works well with fiberglass to make me that 'silverstone' splitter/spoiler in the front.
Paul, would like to keep it as a trackday car, but parts are getting harder to come by, so it might be foolish to push it too hard. The Ford is still n my possession, but I have two buyers....if the price is right, I will spend the "profit" of the last 6 months payment on the 155 and use it as a daily runner.
It's nice to drive manual again.....especially one that sounds as nice...

| Aemal, nope, those are Speedline Corse's
I got the original wheels as part of the deal, they are in the boot and back seat. Still in good condition too.
All-in-all, I managed to get the car, spare wheels and registration and roadworthy for less than AED4500....lol.
Bandit, lowering kit will be first after all mechanics are good....only by about 30mm and then a strut brace.

| Paul, I dont know if it was a bargain, it needs some work for sure, but I figure if I spend AED10K on the car and fixing it, it is better than paying one off....I hate owing money to banks. I will do all the work myself, so the labour saving allows me to spend more on decent parts.
The only thing I wont be doing is the clutch....its a pain and cannot be done in a day because you have to send the flywheel off for skimming....
Alfa's are so cool......it's my 3rd one and all of them have made me smile and cry. ;-)

| GREAT FIND ANDY MABRRROOOOOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!! congrats, a great car, hehe you cant be an official petrol head until youve owned an ALFA!!! One thing though, those cars are notorious for their Oil Sump Systems, watch your oil pressure and always check for leaks, i'd hate to see that on the back of a recovery, and another thing, is this the FWD or the RWD version? this body style of Alfa always confused me (I hope shes RWD!!!) Good Luck and do post up after the mods, I would love to see this thing on the road again! | |

| Dan, to hell with Sharjah and it's spares.....they are a bunch of thieving morons most of the time. For engine parts I will procure in the UK and get my missus to bring them over with her when she goes there. I might try Sharjah for their body trim ONLY if I have to...they know that Alfa's are rare so they shoot their prices through the roof. Ahmed, the sump is not the problem on the V6, it is the cambelt that needs to be looked after the most. I will be doing a cam job on it sometime soon, and while I am there, waterpump, thermostat, valve buckets and gaskets/oil seals. At the same time, track rod ends, lower wishbones and shocks. If I get the sub-frame out at some point, radiator and sump gasket and big-end shells will get done. Brakes come later, they are ok. In the interim just normal maintenance, tightening, sealing gluing etc. All in all, I will put about AED7K into it, if it is reliable I will drive it, if not.....it's going to the track after removing all the insides and unwanted weight.... The 155's were all FWD except for the Q4 which was 4WD. | |
