ADRENALINE SLIDE SHOW

Gud pm guys. I'm here again and sorry for being absent for a month. Just busy with work, family, nitro, drifting, track repair, forum creation and updating and some rc event issues.

Anyway, we are already confirmed for the Adrenaline rc drift show on Oct. 8, 9 and 10 (Thursday to Saturday). My meeting just this afternoon with the Adrenaline guys was positive. I am requesting if we could meet any Friday here in Abu Dhabi for a meeting so I can brief you guys with how the event will run. At the same time, meet you personally and of course practice how to slide and get some tips from you he! he!

Hoping for a positive feedback from you.

sir altimeters: This layout seems ok for me. I know its not that technical. For new drifters like us, for a start, we can learn from this. I'll forward this one to Adrenaline so they will see if how are we going to layout our track. Pls. email me the drawing with the dimensions as shown above. My email is jonap721@yahoo.com

if we have 100 members probably we will have a track like that which we can drift everyday...by the we set the track like that this morning and they have a difficulty in doing a very very long sweeper on the top end of the track..10 meters of doing it sideways...whew!!. blum3

Sir carlo. There's a trick to drift that extremely long area. =P
You'll have to connect three drifts in a straight line.

Say the motion of the track in counter-clockwise (as the arrow indicates).

Once you enter the curve, your car will be drifting to it's left, correct?
As soon as you feel that you're about to hit the lower wall, countersteer immediately to the car's right.
This will make your car drift closer to the higher wall.
Once you see an 'opening' to enter the curve, countersteer from right-to-left.

And there you have it. =)

oh yes.. actually for more than ten meters atleast you need to connect 2 drifts. so far that track has no problems with me.i told my mates here to lay the same track near their home and practice everyday..hehe! i'll forward tha link to my pals here..that half pinoy Swedish is dk..as i remember he used to drift tt01d. :cheers:

based on yesterdays layout i think we have to enlarge the scale..
there are some areas that are too tight clown

@auh drifters: are we gonna be using drift dots or something else for the event? i suggest something fixed or more stable would be better, so we wont be rearranging it every now & then.

May i add that the upper wall must be placed.
So that drifting can be controlled and no high speed collusion are made. =P

yup its just that we dont have enough dots yesterday cause we use 6 of it for the minis lol
so everyone would learn to drift on a long stretch clown

maybe we can use PVC pipes.. the cheaper ones..
a half or a three-quarter inch (1/2" or 3/4") pipe will work..
with some PVC fittings as well..

we can cut them into a meter each and some shorter pieces.. we can adjust it accordingly..

what do you guys think? we can use it as well during our drift meets..
we'll just take turns keeping it..

i don't mind keeping it every now and then..

Sounds great....
But how much do they cost? and how many do we need?
Since this will mostly be used for drifting, we will need to ask every drifter if they approve of this so that we can start collecting 'contributions'. =P

I hope we also cut the pipes into semi-circles so that they don't roll off =P
