Good news "Fanzone" is confirmed!

I checked out the place and saw them starting to build the venue. Not much to see at the moment except a bunch of workers making scaffolds for the entrance arch and temporary fence with printed tarpaulins. I approached some "kabayans" inside hoping to meet an event coordinator but there's nobody around. They told me to come back tomorrow afternoon maybe i'll be able to meet one and ask how we can participate in this rc event.

So hold on guys, I'll keep you updated as best i can.

Sir Jay, my strokes have improved a lot. Preparing for our next big tournament this coming Nov.25 & hoping to bring home a piece of the "bacon!" (not bacon bits as my wife usually say! hehehe!!!)

Hi guys. I've been trying to post the track layout here since an hour ago but to no avail. It's a PDF format and I do not have a converter to change the file. Anyway, I have discussed this matter over the phone with Jay just a few minutes ago and have forwarded to him copy of my email with the organizer and the track design and layout as well so Jay can post the layout here.

As discussed with Jay, just prepare your mini's, slider's and electric touring cars. Once you have seen the layout, kindly share your comments and ideas. Perhaps you can slide on the available vacant space since the total area is 20M x 20M.

Few questions though..
-How high do you think the redbull cans are? If its gonna be high enough to cover a part of track we will need a driver stand to see the whole track.
-Since the track is made up of rubber I suppose we cant drift on them and besides the circuit boasts long straights which is a no for drifting. If drift tires would work on rubber I hope the track is wide enough to add cones for more curbs.
-If we cannot use the track for drifting, like you said we could use a vacant space for drifting. What do you think is the surface for the rest of the area? is it a parking lot? if its a brick pavement were dead

Anyway we should all get our minis ready aswell and hope for the best regarding the drift area! Thanks for everything Jun! Im sure this is gonna be another one of our successful events

maybe they can provide a cheap carpet for dirfitng just to cover the brick

With the track design and it's size, minis will prove to be the best to drive..

Gud pm guys. Got some updates from the organizer & discussed the same with Jon. Anyway, here's how it's going to be:

1. Rest of the surface are bricks. Definitely, we can not slide. Anyhow, just bring your sliders in case.
2. Our slot is only on Nov. 6 but I'm hoping that they will request us to extend for another 1 or 2 days depending on how are we going to attract the attention of the viewing public.
3. Show timings to be discussed after they receive our list of participants/drivers.
4. Pls email me the list of those who want to participate. Make one list mentioning type of kit/kits each one of you is/are planning to bring & pls email to: jun2367@eim.ae at the soonest so I can immediately forward the same to the organizer. Pls take note that the list is for the purpose of our entry pass & will be the basis for the allocation of our show timings (hoping they can allocate half of the day for our group)
5. Pls bring spare batteries for your kits since it's not sure if they can provide us with power supply. Just in case, bring with you a set or 2 sets of extension, 12 V 100 AH battery & of course ur chargers.
