New to Dubai :)

Hi all,

First of all I'm new to Dubai and Loving it. It's a great place. I spent most of my life in Switzerland then I studied in a small country named Srilanka. In there Rc is a hobby which was banned for some time.but now it's on the move again me and my good friends there we had a team and also a small track. In there we don't have hobby stores where we can walk in and buy something. So it was eBay and months for shipping. Some how I owned a traxxas e-mailmaxx and two sakura zero cars.

Boy, am I not happy to see the hobby shops here. I visited two shops in deira area and they were awesome. Now I want to start again with a traxxas summit or a hpi baja. But as always I'm low on credit, so any of you guys have models for sale lower than shop prices? smile

Thankyou sanrock, yeah I checked. Hope I'll have to wait for somthing to pop up. Well you know . Place where I can get a summit and the price? I know one place near the airport but the price was 2400.

Wow Jay thankyou very much. That was much helpful. I see all of you guys are interested in cars than trucks. Thought I should reconsider buying the summit. Any ideas?

Thanks mate, I was wondering since there are many bashing spots around here, is there any restrictions? Cz bashing a bigger kit surely means more dust. or else any dedicated spots? very happy

welcome to dubai. I have a heavily upgraded savage flux which i intend to sell. neutral

will be starting a post for the flux soon..Considering the fact that summit is a crawler u wont be able to bash much with it as its SLOW and comes with nimh batteries. Instead u could go for a revo or savage..

Rdrift you got a point, but summit is one of my all time favorites. My friend owned a revo it's fast and all but it didn't fit me. Savage me likey have to consider wink
