"Its a different kind of DRIFT" ..... some excerpt which stuck into my head when i was watching the Initial D series with Jay and Jason .....


"Iggy" is Takumi's best friend, Itsuki plans to use the money he earns to buy an AE86 Corolla Levin (to complement Takumi's AE86 Trueno) but mistakenly buys an inferior (less power, poor brakes, less chassis bracing, and looser suspension) AE85. This upsets him until Takumi takes him for a drive (ultimately racing it downhill), demonstrating that the driver's skill can make a difference.


well since everyone is running AE86's .... this is my "EIGHT FIVE"

The AE85 shares its chassis and basic design with the famous AE86, but while the AE86 was designed for performance, the AE85 was designed for economy and differs mainly in its engine.





so basically .... you'd never know if it was an AE85 or an AE86 unless you pop the hood open

well as far as body is concerned i'll vote for AE86 (someone said 85?!!) . . . and for performance let's see the strawb/jay tandem . . . the audience shall cheer

by the way . . . set my 1st CS today ! a milestone for a 50/50 purist ! . . . but am still trying to get some paint for my transparent AE86 (does any one mind if i drift transparent this weekend ! ! ! )

@emileo: congratulations on your 1st CS attemp! that won't be the last for sure!

the AE86 and the AE85 share the same shell ...... except that the 'EIGHT FIVE" is more so a budget car having a less powerful engine, brakes, suspension, etc etc ...... as far as looks go .... they are identical ....

its all good fun when i trash talk our admin jay ..... its part of the fun

Hey thanks, I might get some advice on gearing and steering mods if needed, otherwise it's a great feeling to drive it ... Kept me awake almost all night !

Still have to figure out what colors remains I have and how to go about the body ... Look forward to Friday ... Shall we say 5:00 ? !!! (admin jay: we need different track layout pleaaaase, whilst keeping it long as it's more fun)

@Emilio.. when it comes to CS.. strawbs high rate CS kits are the ones to beat! kick@$$ steering angle action in exchange of high speed drifts haha!
