...Maybe we could give the Rally Union a kick start over there...

| abdul the track at nad al sheba is designed for 1/8 scale buggys and truggys so theres no way you'll get a rally car around the track.....i have seen 1:10 nitro buggys battling to get around.... nad al sheba has very soft sand everywhere, even when wet it wont do for rally.... you would need a decent offroader to cope out there | |

| abdul DF03 wont cut it out there ...its too small and light....even if you had big brushless power...would be pun on hard pacekd clay though... .21 nitro engines( typical buggy size) range anywhere from 500-600AED up to 2-3K AED depends what you want, what size etc etc @andy @sam you guys up for an offroad day?

| uhh should you have PM'ed him that? or at least in FS section..................OFFF TOPIC but about your TT-01 and your dream DF-03........they both wont cut it out there, you would just bog down and bottom out even with a 4WD kit, you need loads of power and clearance in the off-road world.....why not buy a kyosho inferno....they are 1400AED stock and they run like hell.....i should know....i owned one calling the "big boys" once again....helooooo...you out there???!!!! a golden opportunty here, plus i want to go against samaj's slayer with pauls slash and see the difference, i hear there was some faulty driving.....hmmm i think i can set things right...........pus i'll give everyone an opportunity to experience the BAJA POWER...... | I dont want to make you guys look bad with my 2WD slash.
Incidentally, Greg and the nitro boys are collecting cash to do up the Nad Al Sheba track, if you want to contribute, let me know.
I know that if they spend the sort of money they are talking about, it will be a good track , but you will be frowned upon if you use the facilities without contributing....especially if you dont look after it accordingly.
...if you get my drift...lol....drift...

Andy bring that slash 2wd! from what i understood, the money is going into the track al lasayli and not nad al sheba....and if they are planning to put money in at nad al sheba it will be wasted (again), as from what i understand that whole area will be gone before the end of the year..... al laysayli should be a good track when its done, just a damn pity its so far away!!!!

| Paul your slash looked fairly quick, just looked a bit light round the corners and especially in the jumps.
Definitely needs some weight in it

| i think the car setup straight out the box is setup to run on a traxxas 7cell nimh, so it would be heavier and better balanced, need to do some adjustment to compensate for the lighter lipos! or get one of THESE where are all our secret offroaders!!!! | |

| Paul with that battery u will pull wheelies....! I have teh sway bar kit for my slayer that i have yet to install. Will probably try on some 1/8 scale buggy tires to give it bit more width.
If cant manage to get all that ready. Will get my Inferno ST with the OS 30 VG engibe. Its sheer torque is amazing...!
I prefer Friday mornings though....like 8am.

| Guys,
Investing in Nadal Sheba: - My question is: how will the investment be protected? Free access for everybody, even for people who doesn't care about the hobby and running their 4x4 through the track. This was one of the big issues at Nadal Sheba, being destroyed by people who are not thinking about others. No one was maintaining the track.
The plan was to build an off road track at Al Lisaili. The track is half built now. Area is compacted and layout has been put in place using ropes. However, the initiative was put on hold. Now, Greg is trying to revive the spirit. So let's contribute to this idea, so that Dubai is able to have a nice off road track just like the guys in Abu Dhabi.
For a real off road track (1/8 buggy and truggy), you can also go to Abu Dhabi. Location is next to the Ice Rink where the old track has been refurbished with new soil and lay out. Complete with driver stand and pit area. This is the result of a group effort (contribution). Friday is the very first "fun (fund raising) race", so if you can make it, just visit the place and have a nice off road day there.

| Ahmad
the contributions are for al laysali an not nad al Sheba. See my earlier post. Nad al Sheba is not worth investing in as it won't be theremuch longer with all the workfor Meydan
