| Hello my fellow kabayans ..... Im a Filipino RC enthusiast based here in Al Ain and currently own a on-road Nitro CD3 ...... i hear that there is a group of Pinoy Nitro enthusiasts here in Al Ain but i havent had the chance to hang-out with them ......
Ive been doing my research on Electric Drifting Cars and by my luck stumbled on your website ..... im thinking that electric drifting is to more of my taste now a days which in turn has lead me to look for a nice, respectable and easily upgradeable electric drift kit, i was wondering if anyone can give me suggestions and tips on what to get? where to get? and a budget on how much a complete set would cost me? ....
and maybe i can drive down all the way down to dubai just to watch and learn from you guys .....
any leads would be of great help
salamat | |

| Thanks again guys for the tips and the warm welcome ....
Maldito ..... I'll definitely try and check out your kits for sale .... I still don't know much about rc drifting and tips and advice on what to get would be greatly appreciated.
Orange alien ... I'm highly considering the TT-01R however I'm still not familiar about the pros and cons of the different kits ... Hpi? Tamiya? Yokomo? Please advice.

| Tamiya is the most faved brand among the group. although some of the guys are using kits from other manufacturers as well..
why Tamiya?
for me personally, because there are lots parts available either from tamiya itself or from other tuning brands for tamiya as well..
just my thought though.. it's always up to one's preference..
and +1 on jebs' advice.. better go for an intermediate level kit..
a TA-05 (belt driven) or a TB-03 (shaft driven) would be some good choices.. | |

| T&U have a TA-05 going for about AED700, was their last piece. Good kit, but it does NOT have a speed controller included. It does however have complete bearing kit. In a nutshell, no, they are not readily available here....all the time. When T&U get their main shipments, they have plenty....but they tend to move them fairly quickly. Parts on current models are sometimes available. TT-01 is the most prolific model, has the most cost effective variants, and parts are easy to come by. The TT-01 is a great starter, but I firmly believe hopping them up too far is a waste of money, like putting perfume on a pig...smells good, but still a pig. That said, they are great value, usually come with ESC and light-kits...and all round good deal, with limitations in performance later. If you are going to do touring with us, a silvercan class will ensure that speeds are limited, and I will say this: A TT-01 can still be VERY competitive in this class, in the right hands... There are some of these in T&U, kits are around AED600-AED800 and the RTR's are around AED1000. | |
