| Just a question. I've been watching a ton of drift rc videos, and something I've noticed is that people no longer have the aerial sticking up and out of the body. I like the look, it's much cleaner. But what exactly do you do so that the radio signal is unaffected? | |

| Hey Theo... i guess you are referring for the body post which connected the bodyshell to the main chassis..... well its seems that most of the drifters now a day's wanted their RC kit looks like the real thing that's why stealth mount are widely use...having your bodypost cut down should be done accurately... i would suggest to just trim down the bodypost till you have 1 or 2 holes left above your bodyshell..... | |

| Drifing does not really require you to go beyond 20m of radius. Going beyond that makes it harder to see the counter-steering action that now everyone is after. So even if you keep your antenna inside the car, it will have minimal or zero effects to the signal. Not unless you coil, wound up or cut your receiver antenna. Now, that's a different story.

| Thanks for the replies. I vaguely remember reading something a few years ago about cutting the antenna wire, which would screw things up completely because the wire HAS to be a certain length. I may be mistaken though.
So, how about this; what if I cut the antenna tubing, so it still stands up straight, but max height would be just below the roof of the body? | |

| That's one thing you can do. Others even go to lengths of hiding everything from sight. Here's my M-05's rear body posts. That white thingy is not a cotton bud.. Notice that the white silicon rubber that covers the antenna tube is just about under the top of the blue parts where the body sits on. | |
