| Jay, will have alook to see if I have any servos laying about. I think I had one of those towerpro ones, but if I recall, they didn't like the fact that the Tamiya ESC didn't have a BEC, 8V into those servos was enough to fry them. I don't have a mini either, in the process of selling one to Ryan (I think), but I have an NIB that I will have to build this week... As far as motors go, I think everyone had the black cans rigged up for the Meydan track..but let's get everyone down to the track and run them and see what the best solution is. I will set mine up with black can, because I have one ready. | |

| Brave man, that said, I was eyeing the M06, apparently a lot better behaved than the M04. | |

| Yes, that's also what I've been reading. Man, on carpet, the M04 is beautiful!!! Therefore, I gave the car the benefit of the doubt As well gambling at the fact that you managed to get the F1-09 dialed there. Let's see, I will have another go with it coming Friday. Worst case scenario, I'll put foams on the rear end | |

| F104 was dialled as far as I am concerned....put it in th hands of a pro (like you ) and maybe not so lol I did notice that as the sun moved off the track, it became a different animal...the track is VERY hot and soft/medium tires are useless/bad in the heat. Later on it was sticking nicely....at the end of the session, the tires are all scrubbed and sticky....I was trying to get it to tail out under throttle and it didnt want to. I reckon with the M04, with some medium tires like RIDE 3035's, with compound and a warm up lap, you could do pretty well. The big problem with RWD is that if you get bumped, it is difficult to get control like the FWD's.... | |

| Pro I was looking already for tires. Problem with Ride, the diameter is only 54mm, too small for the M04 When choosing the Tamiya tires, they don t last Going to try the Shimizu 60mm slicks. And indeed, when getting bumped, you re gone. | |

| Hi, Having struggled for about a month the get an M04 to handle I can't believe they are great on any surface. My plan is to eventually put electronic traction control and anti yaw inside mine but in the meantime I will be interested to see what a well sorted one looks like.

| Hi Duane,
For any surface, I wont say that because on carpet, they're dialed and fun to drive! Most important aspect for 2 wheel drive car is grip. Especially rear wheel drive.
The formula which works to me (at least on carpet):
Tires: Softer compound at the rear. Limit the up and down travel for front and rear. Diff at the rear (either gear or ball diff) should be light and smooth unlike the front wheel drive cousins. Springs, normally softer at rear comparing with the front, depending on the acquired grip with the used tires. Will try mine on asphalt coming Friday, hopefully I will find the required grip at rear end.
From my experience, they're a handful on the straight, but nice on the turns

| Duane, with the traction available on that track, you will find the M04 to be a lot better behaved. As I said earlier, I have been massively inspired to drive the F1 on this track, where normally they would be considered useless. I think I have a M04 new built, but unused, if you are interested. | |

| Ok, it looks like a Friday reunion of Team Mini! I think if we get there at 4, setup the cars, we could be racing by 4:30 Ian Lance Jamea Ed Andy Jay? Still waiting for Paul, John, Duane and a few others to sign up! I will try to convince graham to come along as well. 10 cars on that track will be a laugh for sure! | |

| With a change of plans in our household, I should make it down on Friday as well.
Will dig the mini out, but most my time recently spent trying to get the touring car race ready, and of course the 1/12 will also be making an appearance to generate some interest.

| Jay, good job. I also have a servo spare that you can have. Just bring the mounting screws ad stuff. If greg is going to make an appearance, we will have enough peeps to run a competitive practice session....its been too long since we did that! Ian Lance Jamea Ed Andy Jay Greg | |

| Mister-e, you got some mates coming down to join us?? If so, cool, gimme their names and we add them to the list! Where is Gaston, not seen or heard from him in ages.
I will bring the 13T tourer along too...and the F1. I know we will never get to interest in the F1's, but the challenge is not in racing it, but rather getting it around the track quickly. If I get some time between mini action, will give it a go!
