| Nice one Strawb! Have you decided what paint scheme you want for the shell?
Maybe if you renamed the name of the thread, the mini guys could post the updates on the build of their M05 kits. Just a suggestion!
Sir Ian's F109 has been built also, it looked STUNNING!

| I ordered a 32T 64P pinion to use with this, it is what the kit suggests. Hope my order arrives before the weekend. It has my receiver and servo too!
I built the front and rear end last night, will do the shock tonight, and see how far I get. I'm not sure if i will be bothered with a F1 Team paint theme. Will have to do some research to see what is possible.
Also I notice that spur is standard so if you don't have 64P pinions, you can replace with another spur as per your choice.

| Hi, I am starting with the bodyshell. In about an hour mine will be Tamiya 'Luminous Green'.
I suggest everyone else claims their colours in this thread, these cars will be hard enough to control without having to guess which one is yours.

| Its possible I am being a numpty here, but is anyone having trouble getting the PC6 spacer into the nylon spur gear , you will know the one, its step one on page one ! I know that this link says its too long, but mine doesnt want to fit at all. http://thercracer.blogspot.com/2009/12/3racing-f109-build-and-review.htmlGoing back to have another go, kids bouncing off the walls high on easter eggs are not helping me much, I have already managed to fluff the single colour paint job. Quick ! Off to catch a kid before he brains himself. Duane | |

Duane hi duane .....came across this problem as well ...... i used a body reamer and adjusted the size of the hole in the spur gear just enough to fit the plastic spacer...... the spacer fits just right into the tube and the spur gear hole is a little tight for the diameter of the differential tubing ..... meaning the size of the spur gear hole needs adjustment .... if its too tight the ball differential wont function the way its suppose to function ..... it wont slip .... make sure you evenly adjust the holes on each face of the spur gear .... after adjusting the hole in the spur gear .... the ball differential works smooth now ..... hope this helps

| I just needed to take the corner off the edge of the spur with a knife, and then it went on no problems. | |

| They have a pretty cool track there....
I wonder if they are racing with the silvercan? They seem pretty slow, but I reckon they are a handful with anything more than a silvercan....
My F104 arrived this afternoon.....hopefully I will be able to build it up for this week, otherwise I will just take my F103 out....

| Bugger......... Just worked out the Hi-tec servo I have ordered (not arrived yet) has 24teeth on the stub, but the F109 servo saver only has 23t for Spectrum, Sanwa, KO Propo, JR or 25t for futaba.
What a pain. Anyone know if I can buy servo saver for Hi-Tec locally.
