| Planning on getting a brushless. Dont want to buy a hi zoot TB EVO 5 something for it.
I wanna run the stock GT as well as the GT mayhem.
My stable 1- TT01 with all the std hopups. 2- TA03 with ball bearings plus Yah racing shocks. 3- FF01 with ball bearings ,Yah racing shocks, carbon hollow shafts, metal motor mount. 4- FF02 with ball bearings ,Yah racing shocks, carbon hollow shafts, metal motor mount.
What do u guys recommend for GT mayhem?

| I agree with Paul, use the TB03. RWD + powerful motor = hard to control... So it's about the TT01 and TB03. The TB03 is better in my opinion. | |

| TA03F, since its a belt driven chassis i guess that will do best from the rest of your kits. And since its an F version Its known as a good drifter too | |

| Ian used to drift his TA-03F and uses a BL system as well.. I think the only problem was that he was not able to mount a heat sink (and fans) on the motor which are very helpful especially when the weather is a little "warmer". Some say that it's " the best" chassis for drifting.. but you're not drifting anyways so, it's pointless.. | |

| Good recommendation Paul. Never thought of this........ Always assumed all the pro chassis are in the region of 350 USD & up. | |

| Just read the options included on it. Impresive for the prise. I think somebody one forum has one of these. I recall seeing the chassis during the Autodex. | |

well, let's see.. - Al bulkheads - Al motor mount - CF upper deck - CF lower deck - CF damper mounts - Al propeller shaft & joint - Al spur gear holder - Precision bearing holders - shims (?) - Al Diff joints/FOW/Direct coupling just about all the bling things. which if you will upgrade the TB-03R with these, would cost you more than the TB Evo5.. it's all up to you Sam.. We're merely putting up suggestions here.. and oh, I forgot.. - TRF stickers

| TB03R is a great chassis, just the price of the TRF Shocks is US$45, add that to the US$160 of the standard TB03, one or two other hopups and you are in the US$200's...you get no ESC, Motor or body kit though....so they start evening out. Still a good car though. I would buy one but I am working out if it would be better to get the std TB03 and then get the upgrades I want....because they differ slightly to what is in the R kit.... If you want to use a BL in the Touring class (25T or 13T BL) then you could easily use your TT-01 ....what upgrades have you done? The minimum I would do to get a decent tourer is as follows Alloy Prop shaft and joints Oil-shocks (not necessarily TRF's) High speed gear set Steel pinions Adjustable upper arms (front def, rear if poss) Steering link upgrade Team Sorex 36R tires Bearings (obvious) With that setup, a TT-01 would be very competitive (I think Pauls is similar to that and it goes really well) All of that new would be more than a std TB-03, which out of the box, is very capable... The TA03F is vintage....let her rest also, they are the same as the FF01's, you know what the problem is with hot motors in those... | |

| .....or buy that TB Evo 4 from Vinesh......best value for money EVER......
...parts are still available, a little scarce.....but still available....
TRF cars are designed by the racing department, using racing R&D....the value cars are copied from them; so TB03 is a copy of the EVO5 in budget parts, materials and design criteria. TA05 is a copy of the TRF415 in budget parts, materials and design criteria.
Things like the TT01's, TL01's etc are all a product of the normal tamiya R&D
