| this site is amazing!,..ull guys r doin a gr8 job helpin ppl like me who r new to the hobby keep up the good work!!......iv been doin alot of research on on-road RC cars,at first i cudnt decide wether to get an electric or nitro powered car..the i came across these drift videos on youtube n i saw ull guys!!,...after i realized u cud drift with ur rc car i went crazy  !!...so then i droppe the idea of gettin a nitro rc,coz theys to expensive to maintain anyway!...maby after i get a steady job...so i was checkin out all sorts of electric rc cars n i cudnt make up my mind,iv seen some really nice branded 1z in dubai hobby shops...such as the tamays ,kyoshos, hpi(online),but the really didnt impress me,i mean theyr all big brands n all but the wernt really value fr mone, kno what im sayin!!...so then i came across this HSP flying-fish ready to drift car,i was really impressed with the chassi n all the perfomance parts..its looks like a gr8 car for starters,n the best part is that its really cheap to,the shop i saw it in was sellin it fr AED.700.so i really needed ull guys help to decide which car to buy,iv got a decent budget n im despirate to start asap!! ill also come over to zabeel park if i can this saturday, let me kno if there r any decent rtr for sale.. ull can check out that car here HSP FLYING-FISH gimme a heads upp, thnx guys!! | Hey. Welcome to the forum. I STRONGLY suggest not to get the HSP. It has no upgrades, maybe just a few, spare parts availability is low, it's fragile, and there are better options. We do not drift at Zabeel Park anymore, this where we drift.. http://www.dubdrift.com/event-sessions-f17/moven-pick-area-map-t119.htmYou should think about the TA05 IFS (Tamiya), TT01D (Tamiya), HPI Sprint 2 (HPI), TB03D (Tamiya) and if you've got a fat wallet, you can get something like a TA05 MS, HPI Pro 4, HPI Pro-D, or a HB Cyclone... Save up and get a branded one, HSP isn't a great brand... AdBull. | |

i'm with adbull here if you can afford to go better to a tamiya or hpi i would recommend doing that.
there was a post about a month or two ago discussing the HSP, have a look through the forum i'm sure you'll find it...
saying that i think there are 2 guys here using them, you may want to wait and see if they have any feedback for you...

Forget everything chinese, chinese things are not newbie friendly. You won't get a carbon fiber, aluminium and bling for 850 AED. Here is what everybody does... We get a TT01, TA05, TB03 (you get the point), and then we buy upgrades...Little by little, it becomes better and better, with carbon fiber, graphite, aluminium, etc. Can you get a front one way for the HSP as easily as you can for one of the branded ones? NO. Spool...? No. Sares.....NOPE. You can hold on for a while, good kits do get posted up in the selling section... And OBVIOUSLY, if you're new to the hobby, you won't be familiar with the kits, but trust me, everyone here get's the right kits. It's a hobby mate, you want it to be fun, not hard work, blood, sweat and tears. Remember to invest in good radio gear too. Without good radio gear, you will never know your true potential. | ...Oh, and by the way, the TT01 IS BOMBPROOF.
And dampers can't be made of 100% plastic (springs as you reffered to them).
The piston is made up of metal, the springs have to be made of a metal (OBVIOUSLY)...
Trust me, I'm only recommending the kits that are strong, good, upgradeable and competitive.
TT01, TB03D, TA05, TA05 IFS, Cyclone S (the S is a downgraded version of the real deal)...

It looks like a good chassis, but I believe crom2k1 is the only one who has experience with one. You won't need to get many upgrades to get it sliding competitively, just a locked rear differential and some kind of one way should do the trick. ..But even then I wouldn't go down the Hong Nor road. It's nice and all, but at the end of the day it's still a "not your everyday" brand. I don't think any of the most common online stores stock any Hong Nor parts. Hope that helped. How old are you by the way? I'm 14.. Always happy to answer questions. AdBull.

AdBull. I bought for 1050aed. There's another guy using this kit last Saturday. Aaaah, right. That kinda' kills the confusion. So RC_Joe, can you squeeze out 1050 AED? Or is that too much? Remember, you'll still need some tires and very soon, once you catch the "hop up flu" (yes, that's what we call it), you'll need some more cash... Anyway, if you do get it, remember to locate a front one way/center one way and a spool/direct drive/differential locker. Obviously, you can drift without the one way and spool, but a lot of the drivers (I'd say 99.9%) regret having not tried one of them sooner)... AdBull.

| Shaft driven kits, don't need Center One-way as they don't have center pulley.
Locked rear diff, and front one-way.
I'm selling it for 600aed not 1050.
