I'll be there as well but not with the mini (as well).

It's noise has gone worse since it's last run. I'm giving it some rest while waiting for its parts to come.

Hopefully next week.

It's the TC's turn tomorrow. very happy

Duane,

An idea to make your transponder more body friendly.

Is it possible to extend the wire of the infrared LED?
Then you only have to fix somehow the LED onto the body instead of the whole transponder and securing the PCB onto the chassis.

+1, no need to stick the whole thing to the side of the window.

Better make it with a connector as well. Like the Tamiya LEDs.

Guys, You have no idea the amount of work that has gone into getting this to work as well as it does, there is a reason there are not many systems around.

For the LED on a flyer, thats what I used in the first designs, but a wire with an alternating current especially the high currents I send to the LED - its a radio transmitter.

It works great in the car, but the second you switch your transmitter off or get out of range, the car can and will shoot off on its own.

I currently have some shielded microphone wire to try, its specifically designed to stop receiving stray radio but I do not know if it will stop the high power signal from the LED wires getting out to the RC Receiver.

Will let you know

Duane.
