How's your tire wear with such hard shores?

| 25 I think is the softest available. but on the rear, I have not noticed much wear. It is the fronts that wear, and the tires I'm using, xceed, have a lot of foam on them. My main problem was that there was some problem with the setup, and I was getting uneven wear on the front right, but when it's setup right, I don't expect too much wear.
Also hitting a few walls does not help, and I have to repear some chunking.

Only thing I feared was excess tire wear due to the high shore tires we would have to run in the summers. But it doesn't seem that bad. Time to start doing some 1/12 research.

| Ed, thank you for bringing up the F1's..I am off to the dusty part of my hobby room to dig out the F104. What were you running in it? Silver can? | |

| Hi Andy,
I was running the silver can, using Lipo battery. Don't know the roll out (foam/rubber), but the spur gear was 74 and pinion 23. The speed for the track was decent for the available traction on tarmac. Don't forget the traction compound, because you need all the traction you can get there!
For the small carpet track, the gearing was excellent (foam tires).
I'm confident that you can make the F1 work on tarmac, only more work is needed.

My experience (based on 1/18 Scalpel), front tires wears 3x faster than rear and cones if the camber is not set properly. I'm really considering a 1/12 pan car as well for both outdoor AND indoor!
