PostSubject: F109 Pinion ?   Sat May 14, 2011 12:24 am

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I can use any of the Tamiya pitch/module pinions on a F109, if not, does anyone have a suitable spare pinion that they would like to sell me ?

Thanks
Duane

I should mention that I have finally built the kit this week after having it for about a year. Its a nice looking kit. Does anyone race them now ? if so what motors ? I have silver can in it for now and the original sponge tyres.

Duane.

i'll bring an f109 (all stock) to have a test run

I also used 48p kawada spur. I can't remember what the original one was, but I would think it was 64p. I don't think anyone used tamiya pitch except tamiya.

I have several 48p spurs that are new and suitable for the F109 if you need one.

Silver can works well. It is plenty quick enough.

Maybe........

I brought some back with me from Aus, so I know I have doubled up on a couple of tooth sizes. I will check tonight if it is about the right tooth count for the F109.
