counter steer mods on TA05 ver.2

there are two version of this conversion kit, which one is better? ver 1 or ver 2? do i still need to change some hop ups? which brand of pulleys im going to use?

CS effect is minimal.

Front motor better than rear but I've also already flipped an EvoIII and the improvement is about same.

then u got full option from both

why would u use anything other than Eagle's pulleys?
They got huge range of sizes, all alloy, oneways etc
that simply drop in fit to Eagle layshaft.

I like about 40-50% OD, starting to prefer oneway centre with balldiff.
VDF is about same % but fixed drive & gear diff.

Eagle v2 has the straight rack arms & pivot wide extensions.
Can get them with V2 GRT chassis set or front end alloy set.
They sell V1 rack as sparepart already.

Hi guys, i'm from the philippines, few users of this kit in my country so i'm watching this topic to get ideas on setting up my ta05 v2. I recently bought a Tamiya#53952 Center One Way, will i retain this if i decided to go CS?

I'm planning to have this:

i will buy this:
Square 40T = Front Ball Diff
Square 30T = Rear Ball Diff
TA04 Diff Plates (2pair)

16T (from the pack of Tamiya#53952) = Front Center Pulley
18T (stock pulley) = Rear Center Pulley

Do the stock belts of ta05 v2 fits this setup? What belt do i need?

This will give me 1.50% Overdrive, right? I can also go to 22T on Rear Center Pulley if i have the budget!

If i plan to go for Eagle GRT Conversion v2 will i retain the COW and the pulleys?

hello artgear! you're from PRCD right?....about your pulley combos try using 22T on the center rear you'll get 1.83% instead of 150%...about the 40T maybe you'll do some modification on the plastic bulkheads little bit maybe to fit the 40T pulley...hmmm about the belts...no idea for now...use plastic 22T pulley...try also looking on other forums

I really doubt the belts will fit. If they do, they'll be really tight, Square makes TA05 belts in different lengths, you could try those.

Yeah, they'll work.

i have the pulleys of 40 front 30 rear, 22 and 18 centers... not sure of the computation...

F40/18 R22/30 = 163% or 63% CS rate

change your center pulley for front to 16T to get atleast 83% CS Rates

from where we can get 16t or lower?

If i have that setup, how many turns for the motor will run smoothly with it?

Tamiya has 16T pulley check at rc mart or post on LF thread im sure somebody has spare 16T pulley
