I saw a poster for a 1:1 drift show at festival city next weekend. Thought some of you might be interested. If anyone gets any more details post them up.

Update:

http://www.uaedrift.com/?p=87

December 12th 2010: Following the cancellation of the UAE Drift event last weekend due to exceptional circumstances, the event organizers are pleased to announce the now re-scheduled event will take place on Friday 17th at Dubai Festival City .

The UAE Drift event, which was due to showcase for the first time will now take place for one day only.UAE Drift is organized by Dolphin Creative in association with JDM Allstars, it features 12 International professional drifting champions who will compete in an end of year tournament on a purpose-built urban style track, a signature style of the JDM Allstars. It promises to be a much anticipated day of high-octane adrenaline action with plenty of wild tyre smoke and maximum sideways action.

“We had problems last week with the shipping of our specialized drifting cars from Europe , and so had to cancel at short notice,” said Niall Gunn, of JDM Allstars. “We apologize to our fans for that, but now we can reveal that the show will go ahead on Friday, December 17 and it will offer just about as much action as they can handle.”

Fans can find UAE Drift next to the Toys ‘R’ Us exit at Dubai Festival City . Gates open at 2pm on Friday. Admission is free.

Guys while you are at festivalncity there is a venue I spoke to some weeks back that you might like to use for summer drift sessions.

Opposite the toy store is a fun city type place for kids. Inside this therenis a pedal kart track that's wide enough and smooth enough to use for drifting. I though ofbyounguys when I saw it and I made theneffortnto speaknto the manager about using it. she was open to the idea so take a few minutes out to have a look inside the kids zone or whatevernit is called opposite toys store. at the back on the left you will find the pedal cart track, the managers office is also next to this, ask to have a quick go with your cars and see howbit goes from there.

It's air condition and open at all hours, there's also the rest of the place to keep the rest of the family busy.

Yup.. It's dead wrong.

The M3 clearly won his lead run. He may have straightened out on his chase run but I'd give them a 50/50 on the 1st run and a 55/45 on the second one with the M3 for the win.

A hit was obvious in the 2nd run where the Nissan clipped his bumper. If that's not enough, the M3 was at least 2 or 3 cars ahead of the Nissan after the 2nd turn and was struggling to catch up until the end.

Sad. We were really rooting for the Falken M3.
