nope...

for basic drift kits. usually its worth 600 to 700 with no battery or remote.

it will take you maybe less than dhs 2000 for a good complete drift kit which includes battery, charger, servo, TX/RX, good drift tires.

thats for a starter kit. but if you opt for a mid range kit, it will take you more than dhs 2000 smile

Hey there rdick!

Welcome to the forums.

We're glad you like the videos posted on youtube.. Maybe you like to be part of the next one. smile

Btw, please be informed that DubDrift has a good mixture of other nationalities as well and English is the preferred language of writing here (aside from the DubDrift Chatbox where anything goes there).

Again, welcome bro!

Geeeez......

thanks for the warm welcome...

i spent maybe my whole halfday (office hours) ... browsing the forums and all...
(specially the for sale section)....

and it just BLOWS my MIND... i think this is a VERY VERY serious Hobby!!!...

all the tweaking ....painting..upgrading...soldering(if there is)... battery charging..battery discharging....and grinding.... and more upgrading...and more painting ..and upgrading again..

.....i don't think i can cope with it..... i hope/guess so?!?....

how rewarding is it? to have a drift car?? 1/10 in size?? sliding on asphalt ?!?

Hey there rdick,

actually, the hobby isn't all that serious, it just depends on how seriously you take it, and what type of upgrades and other things you buy.

Tweaking is just done to make the car handle better, some cars are not "tweakable" (if thats a word), and some choose not to tweak it.

Painting, it's actually a lot of fun. Coming up with a design, then painting it, then removing the protection film from the body and looking at that awesome new paintjob.. Gotta' love it.

Upgrading, completely optional. It's like upgrading a real car, you can chose to do so, or you can let it be. Since upgrades are usually bought one at a time or a few at a time, it isn't a big mess.

Soldering, you only have to solder stuff when you buy a new electric something.

Battery charging, well, no way around this.

Discharging, in some batteries, you don't HAVE to discharge them, using them and recharging them is really all that has to be done.

And doing everything over again, you can chose to do so, or you can chose not to do so. Besides, upgrading and painting isn't done everyday, atleast, most of us don't do it everyday blum3

welcome back Abdul.. great sense your making there.

@rdick, as Abdul was saying, it's really up to you whether how seriously you want to be into this hobby. Most of us has spent a lot of cash (UAE Dirhams and US Dollars very happy) on our kit(s).

How rewarding is it you ask? I'll leave that for you to answer when you get sideways.. wink
